These SMS Terms and Conditions (“SMS Terms”) govern text message communications between Joyful Minds LLC (“Joyful Minds,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) and individuals who choose to communicate with us by SMS/text message.
By providing your mobile phone number and consenting to receive SMS communications from Joyful Minds LLC, you agree to these SMS Terms.

Depending on the nature of the communication, consent may be obtained verbally, in writing, electronically, through an established patient communication process, or when an individual initiates a text conversation with Joyful Minds LLC.
By opting in, you consent to receive conversational and informational SMS messages from Joyful Minds LLC at the mobile number you provide.
3. Message Frequency
Messaging frequency may vary depending on your appointments, administrative needs, and communications with Joyful Minds LLC.
4. Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and service plan.
Joyful Minds LLC is not responsible for fees charged by your mobile carrier in connection with SMS communications.
5. Opting Out
You may opt out of receiving SMS messages from Joyful Minds LLC at any time by replying STOP.
After you submit a STOP request, you may receive a final confirmation message indicating that you have been unsubscribed.
After opting out, you will no longer receive SMS messages from Joyful Minds LLC. To opt back in at any time, reply START.
Opting out of SMS does not prevent Joyful Minds LLC from contacting you through other appropriate communication methods when needed for treatment, administration, billing, legal obligations, or other legitimate practice purposes

8. SMS and Sensitive Health Information

Joyful Minds LLC does not use standard SMS messaging for emergencies, diagnosis, detailed treatment discussions, treatment recommendations, or extensive communication of sensitive clinical information.
Administrative text messages may contain limited information necessary for scheduling or practice operations, such as appointment dates or times.
Please do not send highly sensitive clinical information by SMS when a secure communication method is available.
9. Emergencies
SMS should not be used for urgent medical or psychiatric concerns or emergencies.
Joyful Minds LLC cannot guarantee that SMS messages will be reviewed immediately.
If you are experiencing an emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.
10. Message Delivery
Delivery of SMS messages depends on your wireless carrier and other telecommunications providers.
Joyful Minds LLC cannot guarantee that every text message will be received, delivered on time, or transmitted without interruption.
Wireless carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages.
11. Mobile Number Responsibility
You are responsible for providing an accurate mobile phone number and notifying Joyful Minds LLC if your number changes.
If a mobile number is transferred or reassigned to another person, please notify Joyful Minds LLC or reply STOP before discontinuing use of that number whenever possible.
12. Changes to These SMS Terms
Joyful Minds LLC may update these SMS Terms periodically to reflect changes in our services, practices, technology, carrier requirements, or applicable law.
Updates will be posted on our website, and the effective date at the top of this page will be revised when appropriate.
